Jeff Carson serves as Senior Fiduciary Officer for Diversified Trust and is charged with oversight and administration of the Firm’s fiduciary related products and services. In addition, he is also a member of our client service team with a focus on wealth strategies and planning, leading our planning team in Nashville. Immediately prior to joining Diversified Trust, Jeff was Senior Vice President and Senior Trust Officer with U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. Additional, previous experience includes serving as Managing Attorney for the Tennessee office of Vasallo Sloane, P.L., a Miami-based boutique tax and estate planning law firm, as Vice President and Trust Advisor with The Northern Trust Co., as Assistant Legal Counsel for the Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company and as an Associate Attorney with Page, Kruger & Holland, PA.
Jeff received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science from the University of Mississippi at Oxford and his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the Mississippi College School of Law. He has also earned the Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Estate Planning from the University of Miami (FL) Law School. In addition to regular speaking engagements and presentations on a variety of professional topics, including trust and estate planning and administration. Jeff is actively involved with numerous community and professional organizations, including current service as a Board Member and President of both The Westhaven Foundation and the Planned Giving Council of Middle Tennessee. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Tennessee Bar Association, for which he served as Chair in 2016-2017. Jeff serves as a Member of the District 6 Investigation Committee of the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners and he recently completed a five-year term as a Commissioner on the Historic Zoning Commission for the City of Franklin, Tennessee. Jeff recently helped to form and currently serves as Chair of the Legacy Advisory Committee with The Andrew Jackson Foundation (The Hermitage). Further, Jeff recently joined the Board of Directors of the Williamson Medical Center Foundation.
