Hunter Meriwether is part of the wealth strategies team in Memphis, focused primarily on tax and financial planning. Prior to joining the company, Hunter served as a senior associate in the business tax services group at KPMG in Memphis. During his time there, he worked on individual, trust, corporate, and partnership taxes at the state, federal, and international levels.
Hunter graduated magna cum laude from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree. While there, he was awarded a full academic and housing scholarship, the BKD Accounting Excellence scholarship, and the Richard H. Critz scholarship. He then received a graduate assistantship and academic scholarship to attend the University of Mississippi for graduate school, where he earned his Master of Taxation degree.
Hunter is a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also holds the CFP® certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.
He currently serves on the Young Professionals Board of Junior Achievement of Memphis and on the Delta Waterfowl Banquet Committee, while also volunteering his time with Orange Mound Outreach Ministries.
