Ashley Remmers, a principal at Diversified Trust Company, is primarily involved in the management and oversight of client relationships and new business development. She is a resource for clients with closely-held businesses. She joined Diversified Trust in 2000 to launch its private equity strategy and served from 2002 to 2017 on the Board of Directors. She currently serves on the Private Equity and Governance committees. Previously, Ashley was an Officer and Owner of SSM Corporation where she served as financial advisor to individual and corporate clients in the areas of acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. During her latter years at SSM, Ashley focused on making direct investments for SSM Venture Partners, a private equity firm.
Ashley received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics cum laude and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. Ashley currently serves on the Board of Directors of Orgill, Inc. and the Assisi Foundation of Memphis Inc., and on the Board of Trustees of the Trezevant Manor Foundation. She is a member the Council of Advisors for St. Mary’s Episcopal School and the Women’s Leadership Council at the University of North Carolina. She is a past chairman of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra Board, the Memphis Regional Advisory Board of Teach for America, and the Governance Committee of the Christian Community Foundation. She has also served as Trustee and Treasurer of St. Mary’s Episcopal School.
