Client Benefits

The majority of information concerning our clients is provided to Diversified Trust directly by our clients themselves. Other data is developed by Diversified Trust as a function of providing a service to a client. Still other information is obtained from outside sources. Diversified Trust has established procedures to ensure that client financial information is accurate, current and complete, in keeping with reasonable professional standards. Should our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information, we encourage our clients to notify us. We pledge to respond to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner. We continually strive to maintain complete and accurate client information.

Limitation on Employee Access to Client Information

All Diversified Trust personnel are required to adhere to the highest fiduciary standards prescribed by both state and federal laws and regulations. An important component of those standards is embodied in our Company’s policies and guidelines which states that all client information is considered private and privileged and is to be used only for the specific purpose for which it is divulged. At Diversified Trust, employee access to personally identifiable client information is limited to those with a business reason to know such information. Employees are educated on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of client information and on these Privacy Principles. Because of the utmost importance of these issues, all Diversified Trust employees are required to sign a statement of compliance affirming the maintenance of our confidentiality policies. Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information

Diversified Trust does not share information with outside parties except in the following circumstances:

We may share information with outside companies when: a) they provide a necessary service to us in the delivery of requested services from our clients in the normal course of our business (for example, third party custodians or institutional brokerage service providers); b) it is legally required or permitted in connection with fraud investigations, in response to court orders, legal investigations or in response to a request from a governmental regulatory agency; and c) at the instruction or with the permission of a client.

It is our policy not to reveal specific information about client accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use unless: 1) a client requests or authorizes such action; 2) the information is provided to help complete a client-initiated transaction; or 3) the disclosure is required by or allowed by law (e.g., subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, request by regulator, etc.).

Client Privacy in Business Relationships with Third Parties

When we do provide client information to a third party (including our vendors, suppliers and agents), we require — through a written agreement — that the third party adhere to privacy principles similar to those to which Diversified Trust adheres for keeping this information confidential and that the third party use the information solely for the purpose for which it was disclosed.

Client Login

If you are a Diversified Trust client or prospective client, you may have been granted access by Diversified Trust or its vendors to one or more Client Logins.
Our Client Logins are subscription-based services that we procure from third party providers for use by our clients. While we work with our third party providers in order to provide these services to you, except as may be expressly provided in these Terms or in our Privacy Policy, Diversified Trust does not control and is not responsible for the account access, record retention, and security and privacy of Client Logins.

Our Client Logins includes an internet-based portfolio reporting system with a dynamic on-line client portal that provides portfolio performance with Diversified Trust through a service provided to us by Black Diamond Performance Reporting, LLC (“Black Diamond”).
