James G. Ramsey
Jim joined Diversified Trust in 2010 and is a Principal in the Nashville office. His responsibilities include managing client relationships and business development. Jim is a member of the firm’s Audit and Risk Management Committee and previously served as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Diversified Trust, Jim spent 10 years with UBS Financial Services, Inc., where he most recently served as the senior risk officer responsible for operational risk control activities in UBS’s U.S. branch offices organization. Prior to UBS, Jim was an associate general counsel with J.C. Bradford & Co., a securities broker-dealer and investment advisory firm headquartered in Nashville, and also spent more than 16 years in private legal practice.
Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction, in Economics from Rhodes College and received a J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law. Jim is the vice president of the board of trustees and chair of the board’s governance committee for St. Luke’s Community House, Inc. He serves on the Board of Directors of Travellers’ Rest Historic House Museum and serves on their Financial Advisory Committee. He is active in various roles for the Episcopal Diocese of Tennessee, where he is a member of the Finance Committee and previously served as the Diocese’s Vice Chancellor for many years. Jim is also a parishioner of St. George’s Episcopal Church, where he has served as the Senior Warden, Vestry member, chair of the parish’s capital building project committee, chair of the rector search committee and a capital campaign committee member.
